The New Life in RP

On this post I am gonna write about my new home the Republic Polytechnic.

This is the first time I am out of my country, so it was very nervous for me from the beginning. Coming from the plane and everything was very exciting. When I first arrived in Singapore it was really cool. For 2 days I traveled around Singapore and the third day was to come to RP. I was very nervous till I get here but when I got here it was awesome totally awesome. Everybody was very friendly and all my other colleagues were very good.

Past few days were very awesome, we played games, we took photos we learned how to create blogs and so on.....

I am gonna post some photos that we took from the college.

My Mother Land

With this blog I am gonna tell the story of my Country. I hope u guys will enjoy it as much as I do.

My life started on 28th April (I'm not gonna tel you the year :D) morning at about 9.50 am in Sri Lanka. I was borne in kind of a rural area called Rathnapura. Most of the guys even don't know where Sri Lanka is, so I am gonna post a map of the world 4 u to understand. We are an Independent country which we gained in 1948(i am putting this because one of the guys asked me whether we r under the Indian government). We have a very long written history almost more than 2500 years. In ancient times our county was called Taprobane and it was even published on the first world map which was drawn by Ptolemy.

But in 1815 our county was over taken by the English and they ruled till 1948. If I am to write the whole thing it will be quite boring, so I stop the history from here.

But to tell u about the recent history, our country suffered a civil war for 30 years and now it is over. We had to fight the world's No 1 Terrorist organization which is called LTTE. It caused so much damage to our country but with the end of the war our economy growing rapidly and we are hoping for a bright future for Our Mother Land.
